Tell Your Senators: Support SB2056

Rumors have it that the IL state government is close to a stop-gap budget, but funding for K-12 and Higher Education are both still in limbo. However, two bills are up on the senate floor to address these shortcomings:
- SB2054 will increase state aid for education by $760 million and will ensure K-12 schools will open on time
- SB2056 authorizes $1 billion for higher education, allowing financially starved colleges and universities to get up to 90% of their normal funding. SB2056 also fully covers MAP grants.
